The jewel above, Floating City, was bought by the Smithsonian for its permanent collection. The one below, Pregnant Chalice, is on exhibit at Charlotte, NC's Mint Museum of Craft + Design where it is part of an 80-object exhibition called the Art of Gold.
There are many who say that Kent Raible's granulation* technique is unmatched in the world of fine jewelry, and this Lotus Blossom pendant with rubelite tourmaline, pink sapphire, diamonds and 18k gold is a perfect example of his meticulously crafted workmanship. It has a soft and feminine touch to it with its delicate granulation, yet leaves no doubt in the viewer's mind that it is made with precious materials. As one observer put it, "Kent Raible’s work suggests a court tradition of jewelry that flourished when royal families patronized particular jewelry makers."

The pendant has an opening bale that can be worn on various types of neck chains such as pearls, etc.

The Tear Drop Earrings are 18k gold with rubies and pink sapphires.

The hand-woven chain is 18k gold with a diamond clasp.

Many color combinations are available, particularly light seafoam greens, blues, pinks and oranges for the warmer months.

The collection starts at $500.

*granulation -- the 2500-year-old Etruscan technique of surface embellishment by attaching tiny spherical granules of gold to jewelry using heat and an organic glue.
